An excellent opportunity for youngsters to spend some of that never ending energy and learn martial art skills and disciplines that they can carry with them through their life.
The age range of the Young Warriors class is 5-16 years.
As well as self defence skills, martial arts can help your child develop self confidence, co-ordination and discipline.
The Young Warriors learn the same skills as the adults and a typical class includes...
Techniques are learnt and practiced with a partner using focus pads for sharp precision techniques and Thai pads / kick shields for more powerful techniques.
Students are graded when they reach the appropriate level and classes are suitable for complete beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

Here's what some of them are saying about training at Kickfit...
Vasu Sood age 6
I like going to
KickFit because I want to do stick fighting and on the bag and grappling. I’ve
got two belts in seven months.
Kirk Beck age 13
I really like
it. I've done a lot of activities but KickFit is the best. It's a good way to
make new friends. Everyone is kind and it's fun. A good way to spend your Saturday or
any other day and it keeps you fit.
Kirk Beck's parent
I find this is a
very good activity outside of school - a sport totally different from
school.
Fraser age 8
There is a bully at
school I used to be scared of, but now I am not scared of him because KickFit
has taught me lots of good moves. KickFit is fun and makes you confident.
Jessalyn age 11
I have only been at
KickFit for about three months and I already enjoy it. I have found that it
gives you confidence as well as skills and does not just work on your strength
but on your technique. I really enjoy KickFit because we don't just focus on one
way of defending ourselves we focus on lots including boxing. trapping, using
sticks, bringing people to the ground, getting out of a fight, kicks, punches,
elbows and knees and many others.
If you're worried about coming and think you might get hurt, well don't - just remember this: listen to the instructors, you won't be forced to do anything you don't want to, you are in a safe and controlled area, most of all have fun.
I would really recommend that you come to KickFit classes. By the way if you come on Saturday the first Young Warrior's lesson you might see me!
